Known for her razor-sharp wit, cultural commentary, and boundary-pushing comedy, Sarah Silverman has spent more than two decades shaping the national conversation – from stand-up and film to television, books, and activism. Whether she’s tackling politics, identity, grief, or the absurdities of modern life, her work is at once hilarious, provocative, and deeply human.
In this intimate, wide-ranging onstage conversation, Silverman will reflect on her career, creative process, and what it means to be a Jewish voice in comedy and entertainment today. Expect insight, honesty, and plenty of laughter – and the rare opportunity to experience one of today’s most vital performers in a setting designed for connection and conversation.
This special evening marks the reopening of Kanbar Hall, newly reimagined to elevate the audience experience and bring the JCCSF community closer to the artists and ideas shaping our world.
Sarah Silverman is a two-time Emmy Award–winning comedian, actress, writer, and producer. She most recently starred in the Netflix stand-up special PostMortem (2024), nominated for a Golden Globe, Critics Choice Award, and two Emmys, following her acclaimed 2023 Max special Sarah Silverman: Someone You Love.
