# Event Details - **Event Name**: The Compass Salon @ Manny's - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 27 Sep, 2025 at 10:30 am – Sat, 12 Dec, 2026 at 12:00 pm (-07:00) - **Event Description**: Life, examined together, through philosophy, culture, science, and personal experience, in a supportive and welcoming environment.About this EventOverview This monthly gathering is a moderated discussion group for people who want to think more clearly and live more deliberately. Drawing on philosophy, spirituality, science, etc., we explore themes that actually matter in daily life. Each session centers on a carefully researched topic, grounded in real questions people actually wrestle with. From there, we talk. Come share what you know, hear what others have lived, and leave with something useful.Format Led by Abraxas Adams, we anchor our conversation with a printed handout exploring a single theme in depth, with context, evidence, and questions built in to prompt real discussion. We take turns sharing perspectives. No one is required to speak, and no one dominates the floor. Bring your sense of humor, your curiosity, and an open mind. Disagreement is welcome, disrespect is not.Purpose Ideally, you'll leave each session having learned something new, feeling more capable of navigating your own life, and a little more connected to truth and to each other.Location:Manny’s3092 16th StreetSan Francisco, CA 94103When:Every second Saturday of the month10:30 AM – 12:00 PM2026 Dates:January 10February 14March 14April 11May 9June 13July 11August 8September 12October 10November 14December 12About Clubs @ Manny's - Manny's Clubs are discussion groups that convene once a month for 90 minutes to discuss a wide variety of topics.
