This two hour class will be hosted by a member of the San Francisco Beekeeping Association and will cover the honey bee life cycle, how to identify and treat pests and diseases, and an introduction to working with bees safely. Also learn how bees work together to make honey, pollinate flowers, and maintain colony nutrition. The class will conclude with a guided tasting of honey from our local plants.This will be a lecture style class with Q&A. Please bring your questons. In this class we will not have the opportunity to open an active hive.Suggested Donation: $35 - no one turned away for lack of funds. Our workshops are donation-based and support the growing and distribution of free produce at Alemany Farm.
