After undergoing major spine surgery, she returned to writing as a source of healing and connection. A scientist and patient advocate, Silver earned her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, where she studied breast cancer and developed a deep passion for patient advocacy and health equity. She now combines her background in research with her passion for storytelling to inspire others on their own journeys. Despite living with chronic pain, she finds joy in traveling, exploring new foods and coffees, and spending time with loved ones and the family’s puppies: Tia and Mocha.
