Afrolicious returns to the iconic Boom Boom Room for our third consecutive New Year’s Eve takeover, bringing the signature heat, rhythm, and community energy that has made this one of the Bay Area’s most anticipated annual celebrations.
Since 2007, Afrolicious has helped ignite NYE across the Bay with unforgettable performances—from Sea of Dreams (twice) to major throwdowns at the Elbo Room (3x), Rickshaw Stop (3x), Continental Club (2x), Monarch, Public Works, Tahoe’s SnowGlobe Festival, and special NYE journeys through Sandpoint, Idaho and Sebastopol.�Except for the quiet year of 2021—when the world stayed home—Afrolicious has kept the New Year’s flame burning bright for nearly two decades.
This year, we return to the Boom Boom Room to bring back the magic:�deep grooves, live percussion and horns, heavy funk, global rhythms, and the uplifting, dance-floor-moving spirit Afrolicious is known for. Expect a packed house, a beautiful crowd, and a night that rides the line between concert and full-blown dance celebration.
