Join us on Tuesday, December 9th, at 6:00 PM PST for a special evening at Leica Store San Francisco!

We are honored to welcome photographer Curran Hatleberg, joined in conversation by publisher Paul Schiek, as we celebrate the release of Hatleberg’s new photobook Blood Green and the second edtion of his debut monograph Lost Coast. Known for his lyrical and deeply immersive approach to photographing the American landscape, Hatleberg creates images that unfold with the quiet force of lived experience—moments where tenderness, tension, and everyday wonder converge.

His latest monograph, Blood Green, is conceived as a coda to the artist’s acclaimed 2022 monograph, River’s Dream. Blood Green offers an alternate vision—less an outtake than a parallel dream, a shadow of the original, expanding on the darker themes of contemporary American life.

The evening will feature a conversation between Curran Hatleberg and TBW Books founder Paul Schiek, exploring the evolution of the project, their collaborative process, and Hatleberg’s broader approach to storytelling through photographs. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase and have the book signed, participate in a Q&A, and connect with both the artist and publisher.

Don’t miss this chance to hear two influential voices in contemporary photography discuss the craft, process, and poetry of bookmaking.

* RSVP is required; seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The conversation will begin at 6:30 PM, followed by a book signing with Curran Hatleberg.
