You can understand your patterns and still feel stuck inside them.

Sometimes the next step isn’t more insight. It’s giving the body enough support, time, and safety to experience something different.

The Living Thread was created to offer that space.

Rather than building the week around one primary teacher, we’re bringing together a small, collaborative retreat team with extensive experience in Somatic Experiencing®, developmental and attachment trauma, intergenerational healing, therapeutic touch and bodywork, movement, creativity, spirituality, and embodied practice.

The team has worked alongside Dr. Peter A. Levine in his master classes and retreats, and Peter will join us toward the close of the week for discussion and live demonstrations.

Throughout the retreat, we’ll explore ways to:

• Recognize survival patterns with more clarity and less judgment
• Build greater capacity for sensation, emotion, connection, and choice
• Explore developmental, attachment, and intergenerational patterns
• Strengthen the connection between what you understand intellectually and what you experience in your body
• Discover resources that may be harder to access during stress or overwhelm
• Practice being in relationship without losing connection to yourself
• Create more room for curiosity, play, rest, grief, joy, and possibility
• Develop practices you can continue using long after the retreat ends

This isn’t about arriving as one person and leaving “fixed.”

Healing rarely works that way.

It’s about creating the conditions for something to begin moving, reorganizing, or becoming more available—and having enough time together to notice what happens when we don’t rush the process.

During the week, we’ll move between large-group teaching, experiential somatic practices, small-group exploration, bodywork and tablework, movement, creative expression, conversation, shared meals, and time for integration.

And because where and how we gather matters, everyone will stay together onsite at Humphreys Half Moon Inn on Shelter Island, right along the San Diego marina.

Your retreat package includes:

• 7 days of retreat programming
• 6 nights of single room lodging
• 10 shared lunches and dinners
• Pre- and post-retreat online gatherings
• Preparatory learning materials from Dr. Levine
• Bonus recordings and resources
• Small-group learning and integration
• Time to rest, walk the waterfront, connect, and simply settle in

You do not need to be a therapist or have prior Somatic Experiencing® training to participate. Preparatory materials are included so everyone can arrive with a shared understanding of some of the foundational principles.

**Small breakout groups will be available in English, Spanish, and Japanese.**

This will be a small gathering, and registration pricing and bonus offerings are structured to benefit those who register earliest.
