Join us for an evening with renowned artist Nick Cave, whose multidisciplinary practice spans sculpture, installation, performance, and video. Best known for his celebrated Soundsuits, elaborate full-body sculptures that merge art, fashion, and social commentary, Cave creates work that speaks to issues of identity, race, and healing. His work Rescue, from the Museum’s permanent collection, is currently on view in the Art of the Americas galleries, offering audiences a chance to experience his practice firsthand.
The program will begin with a talk by the artist reflecting on his body of work, followed by a conversation-style interview and an audience Q&A. This special event offers an opportunity to hear directly from Cave about the ideas, processes, and social concerns that shape his practice.
