She has over 20 years of experience in paper arts, where her dimensional work layers vintage botanical imagery, preserved natural artifacts, and hand-cut paper into scenes from the forest floor. In 2023 her collage won North American Mycological Association's (NAMA) art contest in the mixed media category and was featured on the cover of the Mycophile Quarterly. Behind the camera, she chases the weird and the colorful, the fungi that look like they belong in a rainforest on another planet, not a San Diego canyon.Her portraits aim to show people the kingdom they're walking past every day: filtering through the air, growing underfoot, capable of healing bodies, minds, and the planet itself.
