- **Event Description**: The USA Powerlifting High School Showdown is an invitational meet for the best high school lifters in Texas.   The meet is designed as a raw only meet (singlet, belt, knee sleeves, wrist wraps) stacking all lifters head-to-head with placing determined by DOTs body weight coefficients (pound for pound formula).  

This year we are extending an open invite to all state champions.  Please note that the meet is capped at 40 girls and 40 boys so not everyone is guaranteed a spot given the total number of divisions and weight classes.   If spots still remain after March 31st, we will begin sending out additional wild card invites to other top lifters in the state who are interested. Please be sure to fill out the interest form found on our meet webpage if this may apply to you.

If the meet fills up, we will break down the lifters to have a lightweight & heavy weight division.  A minimum of $3000 in TSS gift certificate money will be awarded.
