If you would like to bring a group for a program at Government Canyon, please contact the Park Interpreter at Lisa.Cole@tpwd.texas.gov to schedule at a different time.Registration, Fees, Day Pass &amp; CancellationRegistration is required for this hike. Sorry, no group registrations. Registration opens on Saturday, two weeks prior to the event, and closes at noon, the Thursday before the event. Though the hike is free, entrance fees to the Natural Area apply.To save time at the Fee Booth on crowded days and ensure entrance, please pre-purchase and PRINT OUT a Day Pass . SPECIAL NOTE: Reserving a Day Pass is NOT the same as making a program reservation.This program is weather-dependent and subject to cancellation. Check trail conditions by calling GCSNA's main office at (210) 688-9055, or go to GCSNA’s website, Instagram, or Facebook page.When &amp; Where to MeetMeet at the Visitor Center. Please be in place and ready to go no later than 8:45 am.What to Wear &amp; BringDress for time spent outdoors. Comfortable shoes, bug spray and a hat are recommended. Bring at least one bottle of water per person and a snack.Accessibility:This hike may include some elevation gain and loss over rough, rocky topography.If ADA assistance is required, please request modifications using this form, or email accessibility@tpwd.texas.gov at least 2 weeks in advance.
