We're so excited!What To ExpectOkay, so One Day Choirs look really cool, and they definitely are. The key to the magic is that folks learn their parts ahead of time. So if you're signing up for this experience, be prepared to prepare! But don't freak out--this first tune we're doing is relatively easy, so sitting down with the music a few times between now and 2 weeks from now should be plenty of time to get you prepped for the day. Shortly after signing up, you will receive an email with the music (audios, lyric sheets, and a link to purchase sheet music if you want it---we recommend getting the sheet music, even if you don't read music) and guidance on how to prepare.THEN, we'll gather from 2-5pm on Saturday, Sept 12th at UTSA Southwest Campus and put it all together over the course of 3 hours. We'll also spend some time easing into the space by connecting with each other, warming up our voices, and singing other harmony exercises. We'll take recordings of some of the sounds we make to remember the day by. Overall, this gathering is an opporunity to connect via harmonizing with others and making some gorgeous music.Our Song FocusWe'll be singing a few different things, but the one we're asking y'all to prepare is Without You, Without Them by Boygenius.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfHpKnzGnnQSliding ScaleWe're happy to be in a large enough space where we can offer sliding scale payent for this event (thank you UTSA). This event is $15-35 ($25 recommended), plus eventbrite fees. We are also able to offer a "no one turned away for lack of funds" option. If you want to come, but cannot make the recommended sliding scale, just pay what you can.Illness PolicyPlease be aware of your health coming into One Day Choir space. If you are activly sick or suspect you're getting sick, please stay home and join us another time. Masks welcome but not required in the space.Cancellation PolicyTo try to accommodate as many folks as possible, PLEASE NOTE NEW REFUND POLICY: We've extended our refund policy so that y'all can submit requests up to 48 hours before the event. We've also enabled a waitlist. If you purchase a ticket and end up not being able to make it, please submit a refund request so someone on the waitlist can grab your spot, OR if you end up not being able to attend within 48 hours of the session, please email us so we can release your spot to someone on the waitlist. Please note that tickets are non-refundable within 48 hours of an event, including for illness or emergency, and are non-transferable to another singing event.
