If so, this is the walk for you!This activity includes both a short hike and time spent with experts at our light traps. The Discovery Trail has a packed granite surface. We'll hike no more than one mile, and likely less. Who is Invited: Open to ages 5 and up; minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. No pets please. Registration, Fees, Day Pass & Cancellation: Registration is required for this hike. Sorry, no group registrations. This is a public program intended for individuals or families. If you would like to bring a group for a program at Government Canyon, please contact the Park Interpreter at Lisa.Cole@tpwd.texas.gov to schedule at a different time. Registration opens on Saturday, two weeks prior to the event, and closes at noon, the Thursday before the event.
