Home READY Workshop

The Home READY Workshop is a free, in-person workshop designed for older homeowners on San Antonio’s Westside, particularly those living near the proposed VIA Silver Line corridor along Commerce and Buena Vista.

This workshop brings together trusted local partners to share practical information on home safety, disaster preparedness, and ways to lower utility costs. Participants will learn how to weatherize their homes, prepare for emergencies, and access helpful homeowner programs available through the City of San Antonio.

Representatives from CPS Energy and SAWS will provide tips on reducing energy and water bills, understanding utility services, and protecting your home. Additional topics include basic home safety, avoiding scams, and learning about homeowner and rehabilitation resources.

Each participating household will receive a free Home READY Kit with weatherization and safety supplies as a thank-you for attending.

Homeowners are welcome to bring a family member, caregiver, or support person to attend with them.

This workshop is free and lunch will be provided. Space is limited, and registration is required.
