This action packed one day workshop will introduce students to working with both new and old technology in the art of Screen Printing with Photo Emulsion. Students will gain knowledge in how to use Photoshop to create their own transparent positives. They will also learn how to create hand drawn positives on mylar and tracing paper with a variety of drawing materials. Experienced printmaker Dana Harris Seeger will enable you to use those print outs to create beautiful two color screen prints! You don't have to know how to use Photoshop or ever have printed before (but you should have a laptop with Photoshop on it!) You will learn registration techniques and color mixing as well! Materials Bring your laptop with Photoshop Bring image references to either draw by hand or print off the computer All other materials provided FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? There is no age limit or minimum however, we ask that for children under 18, parents sign a release of liability waiver or take the class with their child for a fun experience! What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Visual Philosophy has a parking lot available to attendees in the rear of the building accessible via Julian St. HWY 280, 87 and Diridon Caltrain station are very close. What can I bring into the event? Attendees are encouraged to bring snacks and lunch as this is a fast paced, all day workshop. There is a cafe nearby which has a range of food and drink options as well. You can also bring a camera to take pictures and record the class for review later or posting to social media! What's the refund policy? By purchasing a course or workshop, you are obligated to provide payment in full prior to the start date.
