Discover the secrets of freeing your voice and playing your body instrument in this playful, heartfelt workshop with Amber Field. Learn healthy vocal techniques for singing, sounding, and speaking. You will leave with a solid understanding of both the technical/practical aspects of the voice as well as its emotional/energetic/psychological components so that you can free your voice and free your life.
Learn how to build and tune your body instrument with breath support, core engagement, proper posture, open throat, resonance, projection, and more. Next, play music on your instrument and sing songs from around the world. Connect with your intention and desire to express your heart/soul song. We will also come into alignment with our body instruments with a chakra sound and movement meditation and chant a powerful Sanskrit mantra with its vibratory resonance of compassion for all beings. We will end with an improvisational sound journey to release sounds and emotions to bring you to a state of bliss. You will leave this workshop both relaxed and energized, feeling more connected to yourself and others and to your voice and truth.
This workshop is for all people: total beginners, shy people, those with trauma around their voices, and experienced singers. Everyone will benefit.
Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle.

This event follows the city regulations for an outdoor event and The Center SF is taking extra care and precautions to keep our community healthy. We ask that if you are feeling sick in any way that you stay home and help us keep each other safe. We ask that you wash your hands often, use hand sanitizer when it is available and wear your mask when around others.
This is a limited capacity outdoor event and we have staff on hand to ensure everyone is socially distant to sing safely. Our staff is also sanitizing all surfaces regularly and self checking daily.
Yes, we can come back to community. And yes, we can do it safely.
