Catherine Olander is a coastal North Carolina artist and art educator whose work celebrates color, light, and reflection. Working primarily in oil, she also explores other media. Inspired by the tidal creeks and coastal landscapes of her home, Catherine’s paintings capture moments of peace, reflection, and divine inspiration.

She holds a Master’s degree in Teaching Art from East Carolina University, is National Board Certified in Art Education and teaches at West Carteret High School. 

A lifelong student of color, she continues to study and refine her craft through workshops and residencies, including time at Cape Lookout National Seashore and Penland School of Craft.

Immediately following the opening, at 7:00 p.m., we are pleased to welcome back Bill Stevens and his Jazz Quartet for a Jazz Christmas Concert. The quartet features musicians from around the country:

Benny Hill, saxophone
Bill Stevens, piano
Dylan Goodson, bass
Will Snider, drums

We are especially honored to welcome Benny Hill, a true national treasure who has performed in many of New York’s great jazz clubs and has even opened for Gladys Knight. This concert marks the first date in the quartet’s new series, and they are thrilled to share it with you, so come out and enjoy.
