This cosy, hands-on workshop is a relaxed and satisfying way to spend the day, creating your own chunky striped blanket using finger knitting.
Using super-soft Flump yarn, you’ll learn how to create a simple knitted stockinette-style stitch using just your hands — no needles and no prior experience needed. Working at a comfortable, unhurried pace, you’ll be guided step by step through the process of building your blanket, from the first stitches through to finishing.
Each participant will receive 4 balls of Flump yarn, allowing you to create a finished lap-sized blanket, approximately 70–80 cm wide by 90–100 cm long. You’ll work with two complementary colours to create bold, chunky stripes, resulting in a blanket that’s perfect for a sofa, chair, or cosy evenings at home.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and anyone who enjoys tactile, repetitive making. It’s calm, creative, and deeply satisfying, with plenty of guidance throughout.
You’ll leave with your completed finger-knitted blanket, ready to take home and enjoy.
