- **Event Description**: This session takes place in a beautiful woodland run by by Tees Valley Wildlife Trust. It’s a lovely natural space where children, young people and their families can explore, play, and connect with nature in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Families with children of all ages with additional needs are welcome to join us for lots of fresh air and fun.

We offer free-flow play, giving children the freedom to choose what they would like to do during the session. Activities may include:

*Playing in the mud kitchen

*Creating natural crafts

*Learning to use tools safely

*Fire lighting

*Campfire cooking

*Scavenger hunts

*Relaxing in the hammock

*Balancing and building confidence on the slackline

A snack (usually cooked on the campfire) is included as part of the session. Please remember to bring your own drinks.

Our additional needs sessions provide a safe and supportive space with fewer numbers than our regular sessions to support calmness and reduce anxiety.
Parents have shared with us that they enjoy these sessions because they are child-focused with choice and freedom rather than a restricted narrative, and they benefit from the opportunity to talk to others who may be experiencing similar challenges to themselves.

We will meet at the centre at 10.30am and walk into the woodland together.

Sessions take place outdoors, with access to toilets inside the centre if needed.
