These sessions focus on practical grappling skills while exploring the technical depth that the gi offers. Training includes drilling, situational work, and live rolling in a supportive team environment.
During class we work through key areas of jiu-jitsu including:

• Standing engagement – takedowns, grip fighting, and clinch entries
• Guard scenarios – attacking, defending, and passing the guard
• Pins and positional control – maintaining strong dominant positions
• Submissions – chokes and joint locks using gi grips and control

Whether you're completely new or have experience, everyone from the Salt Spring community is welcome.
