We do this in effort to find the most skilled actor for the role—avoiding “type casting”—which again puts the focus on the acting and strengthens the delivery of the play. \r\nIt is our dream to be the resident theatre company of the Eccles Theatre in Salt Lake City and to tour nationally and internationally with our productions. Also, like in Shakespeare’s time, we aim to have a company of highly-trained, salaried actors from which we cast our productions. Such theater companies are now a rare exception. However, in the ballet world, companies following this model abound.
