Meet at the Zoo Front Gate at 7:30AM. Look for Hogle Zoo staff waiting for you there.Transportation: Depart from Utah's Hogle Zoo. Ride in Zoo vehicle. Leave your car in our main guest lot. Drive from the Zoo is around 1.5 hrs.How to get to Zoo parking: Head east on Sunnyside Ave and turn right into the main entrance. Park anywhere in the main lot. Walk to the front gate ticket office with your gear to find Zoo staff waiting for you.Difficulty: 4/10. There are no long or challenging hikes but we will be on our feet, walking through dense vegetation and uneven terrain most of the day. We will have to walk up/down a small but steep hill to get to one of the ponds.Difficulty rating 1-10:1 - easy, little elevation gain, on-trail, short distance hiking10 - hard, significant elevation gain, uneven terrain, off-trail, dense vegetation, long distance hikingWhat to bring/wear: Comfortable hiking clothes and close-toed shoes you don't mind getting dirty/wet (light weight hiking pants/work pants recommended over shorts).
