Join us to learn about wildlife and learn bushcraft skills in the lovely Rise 61 Community Garden. These sessions are for 8-16 year olds who live in Bemerton Heath.
4pm-5pm on Tuesdays 2nd December and 9th December (potential for more in 2026).
Over the course of 2 sessions, we will:
- identify tree species - using fallen leaves, buds, flowers, fruits (including seeds and nuts), bark and the shape of the tree
- learn birdsong - listening to the winter "dusk chorus", quieter than dawn and summer, but we will still hear some birds!
- have a go at lighting a campfire without matches
- cook popcorn on the campfire (and eat it - sweet, salty or both - it's up to you!)
Cost: Free! Donations are welcome. Booking is essential at:
