Our guest speaker this month is Dr. Micah Stauffer.

Dr. Micah Stauffer was named Wicomico Superintendent of Schools effective July 1, 2022. Stauffer has served as the school system’s Chief Finance and Operations Officer since July 1, 2019, leading the Division of Business and Operations. He was hired by Wicomico Public Schools in September 1998 to teach science at Parkside High School. In 2003, he was promoted to Assistant Principal, serving at Wicomico Middle and then Mardela Middle and High. He was appointed Principal in 2007, serving at Mardela Middle and High and then Parkside High. Stauffer served as Director of Secondary Education from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2019.

Dr. Stauffer is a 1991 graduate of Wicomico High. He received his bachelor’s degree from University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1996, his master’s degree from Salisbury State University in 1998, and earned his Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership – District Administration from Wilmington University in 2020.
