A creative day of colour, pattern and mindful weaving.
Join Ellie Fisher from Elka Textiles for a full-day inkle loom weaving workshop in the inspiring gallery space at Fisherton Mill, Salisbury.
Inkle looms are used to weave narrow patterned bands — perfect for bag straps, belts, hat bands or decorative trims. It’s an accessible and rewarding craft that you can easily continue at home with minimal equipment.
Over six hours of guided tuition, Ellie (a weaver with over 20 years’ experience) will take you step by step through designing, setting up and weaving your own colourful band using sustainable cotton and linen yarns.
Everything is provided — looms, yarns, handouts, tea, coffee and plenty of encouragement! You’ll also receive a 20% discount on lunch in the Fisherton Mill Gallery Café, the perfect spot to refuel mid-weave.
Spaces are limited to keep the group small and hands-on, so early booking is recommended.
Co-hosted with Fisherton Mill — Salisbury’s vibrant hub for art, craft and creativity.
