While Andy Harris and Donald Trump play political games, millions of Americans are going hungry.

On July 3, 2025, Harris voted “aye” on the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R. 1) — a sweeping Republican package that included deep cuts to SNAP, the program that helps millions of families afford groceries. The bill passed by only a few votes, with Harris proudly siding with his party’s effort to gut food assistance while protecting tax breaks for billionaires.

There’s money available right now to fund SNAP during the shutdown, but Republicans are refusing to spend it.

Why? To force Democrats to gut the Affordable Care Act and double Americans’ healthcare costs, all while handing out more tax breaks to billionaires.
