Salisbury Annual Tree Lighting | December 2, 2025
Join us for the Town of Salisbury’s Annual Tree Lighting on Tuesday, December 2nd, with the tree lighting at 6:15 PM and festivities starting at 4:00 PM. This cherished tradition blends Salisbury’s rich history with new surprises, making it a celebration for the whole community!
Set on Salisbury’s picturesque Town Common, the event is co-hosted by Salisbury Chamber of Commerce, sponsored by Institution for Savings, with the Common beautifully lit by Breezeline. Guests will enjoy performances by the Salisbury Elementary Band and Chorus, singing along with Victorian Carolers, horse-drawn wagon rides, character visits, an EPIC snowball fight, cookies & cocoa, historical tours, toy collection, and, of course, Santa with selfie opportunities!
For over 40 years, the town’s iconic 50+ foot evergreen—covered in thousands of hand-turned LED bulbs—has been tended by DPW Foreman Ray Cote. The current tree, planted decades ago by the Bishop Family, continues to honor generations of tradition while welcoming new memories.
This year, we’re excited to add new touches while continuing beloved traditions. All events are free, but attendees are encouraged to bring unwrapped gifts or donations to Santa’s Helper Charitable Foundation.
