- **Event Description**: On Saturday, March 21, 2026, the Board of Trustees invites the congregation to meet to consider how we can come together to address local needs relating to immigration enforcement. The CommUUnity Resistance and Response Summit will begin at 10:00am and will continue until noon. Our summit will commence with a welcome and opening words from the Reverend Manish and UUAA president Kate Hutchens, followed by a presentation and then smaller breakout sessions focused on particular areas of need such as communication, hospitality and advocacy. At noon, our plan is to have refreshments and opportunities for singing led by Dusty Francis. 

The focus of the summit is to discuss and collaborate around ways to resist and respond to the federal government’s actions relating to immigration both in our community and in the greater Detroit/Southeast Michigan region, though we anticipate that the conversation will include other pressing social justice issues.
