Redd & the Paper Flowers is an Appalachian based band from Knoxville, TN that pulls inspiration from jazz and bluegrass to create a unique folk fusion sound. Sturtz is a local favorite!

Redd & The Paper Flowers' music is a blend of Appalachian Jazz, Appalachian Folk, and Folk-grass.
While they truly enjoy all of those genre descriptors, the band self identifies as “Living Room Folk.” Their superpower is the energy and joy each band mate pulls from playing music together, and those feelings are often transferred to sweet listeners–making them feel cozy, as if they were receiving a concert in their living room.

NPR’s All Songs Considered described Sturtz as “a reassuring breath of fresh air that pulls me back to simpler times."The group is serene and folksy, with melodic vocals soaring over the lower string instrumentals. Sturtz released their second studio album Hyacinth in September 2024, and they're hard at work writing songs for their next album now.
