SAFE's 2nd Annual Fundraiser: Emergent City

SAFE is hosting our second annual fundraiser, a screening of Emergent City. This event will take place at Cinema Salem, popcorn is included in your ticket purchase.

Alongside the film screening, SAFE has invited several speakers for opening remarks and present community awards.

Speakers:

Opening remarks will begin at 6 PM, featuring SAFE's Executive Director, members of the SAFE board, and a special guest.

Community Awards:

During our fundraiser, awards will be given to members of the Salem community who have contributed positive change. We'll recognize them, acknowledge their hard work, and uplift what they've done for the community.

About the Film:

"Residents of Sunset Park, Brooklyn face rising rents, a legacy of environmental racism and the loss of the industrial jobs that once sustained their community. When a global developer purchases a massive industrial complex on the waterfront and lays plans for an “innovation district,” a battle erupts over the future of the neighborhood and of New York City itself" (PBS.org).
