Join us for a pirates-themed queer history trivia night at PEM, featuring local LGBTQIA+ historian Sebastian Crane! Show off your knowledge of pop-culture pirates and find out how accurate those modern-day mateys are. Grab a bite to eat, don your gayest apparel, and come prepared for a battle of wits. We’ll name our pirate queen, king or thing at the end of the night for best costume!
Costumes are highly encouraged, but please leave prop weapons and extra-large hats at home.
This program is free to the public and appropriate for all ages.
This program takes place one day after Transgender Day of Remembrance, an annual day honoring the lives and voices lost to transphobic violence. We invite our community to mark this day in the way that feels meaningful to you, whether that is gathering together, attending a local vigil or taking a private moment of reflection. For resources on how to expand trans inclusion in your school or community, explore GLSEN's Trans Action toolkit at glsen.org/activity/trans-action-kit.

By night, he spins spine-tingling tales as a ghost tour guide.
