On Saturday, September 26 at 8:00PM, direct from the national tour of Broadway’s Wicked, Taylor Quick will headline Farewell Fort Salem, a one night only concert celebrating more than five decades of live entertainment at Fort Salem Theater.

Taylor, who has performed the iconic role of Glinda in Wicked in cities across the country, will be joined by some familiar Fort Salem favorites: Rebecca Paige, Janelle Farias Sando, and Dan Galliher.

As we continue searching for the next owner and leader of Fort Salem Theater, we couldn’t imagine bringing our chapter here to a close without one more night on the MainStage. This concert is a chance to fill the theater again, hear some incredible music, share a few stories and laughs, and celebrate the artists, audiences and memories that have made this place home.

The evening will feature Broadway favorites, songs with special connections to Fort Salem, some fun behind the scenes stories, and a few surprises along the way.

Before flying into Oz, Quick toured nationally with Anastasia as Young Anya, performing the title role at select performances. Her extensive regional credits include Anna in Frozen at the Fulton Theatre opposite Broadway's Kennedy Caughell; Katherine in Newsies and Shelby in Steel Magnolias at STAGES St. Louis; Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street (Carbonell Award Nomination) and Penny Pingleton in Hairspray at Maltz Jupiter Theatre; Sandy in Grease and Liesl in The Sound of Music at the Fulton Theatre; Nicola in Kinky Boots at Maine State Music Theatre and Fulton Theatre; Laurey in Oklahoma! at Ogunquit Playhouse; Emma in Jekyll & Hyde at ONSTAGE, where she appeared alongside fellow Farewell Fort Salem guest artist Rebecca Paige; and Flaemmchen in Grand Hotel at Lyric Stage.

A graduate of Texas Christian University's BFA musical theatre program and a trained ballet dancer, Quick began performing professionally while still in college. Just weeks after graduation, she landed her breakout role as the title character in Thoroughly Modern Millie at Goodspeed Musicals, directed and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Dennis Jones. @taylorlquick

Rebecca Paige is no stranger to Fort Salem. Most recently, she directed, choreographed and costume designed (oh, my!) our production of Kinky Boots. FST audiences have also seen her starring in The Drowsy Chaperone and Next to Normal. Her credits include Evita, Jekyll & Hyde, Man of La Mancha, Oklahoma! and more, along with performances at Radio City Music Hall.

Janelle Farias Sando, named one of American Theatre Magazine’s “20 Theatre Workers You Should Know,” returns after previously bringing her one woman show Getting Over That Rainbow to Fort Salem. Her credits include Broadway Backwards at Broadway’s New Amsterdam Theatre, Cabaret, Guys and Dolls, End of the Rainbow, The Boy From Oz, and a recent Off Broadway appearance in The Price.

And at the piano will be Dan Galliher, who recently music directed our productions of Godspell and Salem Under the Stars. Dan has music directed extensively throughout the Capital Region, with credits including Spring Awakening, Songs for a New World, In the Heights, Cabaret and more.

Your $75 ticket includes a complimentary pre show beverage, and after the concert, we’ll invite everyone onto the Fort Salem MainStage to raise a glass together for a special farewell toast.

We’re calling this Farewell Fort Salem, but we remain hopeful that it isn’t goodbye. Our search continues for someone who will fall in love with this theater and carry it into its next chapter.
