Cue Zero Studio Series Workshop - Directors and Auditions

This hands-on workshop, led by veteran director and educator Dan Pelletier, dives into the full audition and casting process from the director’s side of the table. Participants will explore how to break down scripts through character analysis to clarify what each role truly requires, then learn how to select audition and callback materials that reveal the qualities that matter most. The class covers how to run organized, efficient, and actor-friendly audition sessions, what directors should actually be watching for beyond a “good performance,” and how to navigate the often challenging process of making thoughtful, cohesive casting decisions. Ideal for emerging and developing directors, this workshop demystifies auditions and gives you practical tools to build strong casts and stronger productions.

Cost is $25 and the workshop runs 3 hours.
