Colin Woodard is a New York Times–bestselling author, award winning journalist, and director of the Nationhood Lab at Salve Regina University’s Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy. His work examines the regional cultures of North America and their role in shaping the nation’s politics, identity, and future. A recipient of the George Polk Award and finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, Mr. Woodard has reported from more than fifty countries and is the author of seven books, including American Nations, Union, and Nations Apart. His work has been translated into thirteen languages and has inspired both television and video game projects.
