# Event Details - **Event Name**: Something Wild Festival - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 04 Sep, 2026 at 04:00 pm – Sun, 06 Sep, 2026 at 06:00 pm (+01:00) - **Event Description**: The 12th Something Wild Festival 2026 has Devon’s best trail running routes at its heart, a wonderful new venue and new routes, taking in the Avon and Salcombe estuaries and some of the best sections of the South West Coast Path Perched next to the sea, our farm field festival site is in the perfect spot, at the fulcrum of the event routes, with the camping site, at the fulcrum of the race routes. We have moved the festival back to August, to celebrate the end of summer and as the last hurrah before the kids go back to school (in some cases). Make this an autumn to remember and bring your family. This year, we are kicking off the festival with a communal meal and live music, preceded by a cafe and bar, selling locally brewed beer, non-alcoholic drinks, vodka and gin, as well as cocktails. The Festival site The farmer has kindly given access to his fields, overlooking the idyllic Hope Cove, and you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better location to wake up to in the southwest. close to ideal swimming spots in Hope Cove, East Soar and Bantham Bay. This year, we will have a camp village and festival village, which will be clearly separated, to allow flow and easy access. The campsite is suitable for up to 100 tents with parking and suitable for camper vans and serving as the fulcrum for all our trail events, which is ideal for spectators. We’ll be offering extra compost toilet facilities and warm showers, as well as two lovely venues for our speaker’s and music evening. Unique South West Coast Path Trails We have lined up some of the best coast routes on the South West Coast path for our night run, 5k, 10k or half marathon, marathon and Summit Wild Ultra as well as kid’s races. We will kick off the festival with a family-friendly guided run on Friday before the swim run and Hard Rock Coast swim, as well as 10k and 5k events on Saturday and the half marathon, marathon and ultra on Sunday. On Friday and Saturday evening, there will be a fire in the festival field with live music and a communal meal option on Friday and Sunday, alongside our caterers. Forest School You can drop your kids at forest school from 10am to 12 and 1.30pm to 3.30pm on Saturday and Sunday, with our experienced and qualified forest school leaders, while taking part in an event, or yoga. To join the forest school, you can buy tickets separately or book weekender tickets (camping and parking). Entertainment There’ll be children’s entertainments and the cafe and bar open on Friday evening to kick start the weekend. On Saturday there’s a speaker’s afternoon, yoga, massage, movement sessions, forest school and live music. Sea Swim This starts at 12.30pm on Saturday 9th May at the far end of South Milton Sands at the foot of the steps at Thurlestone car park. Swimmers will meet in the car park from 12.00pm and register.
