- **Event Description**: Reiki Level 1 Training

This two-day First Degree Usui Reiki course - co-facilitated by Suzi Garrod and Ruth Lerew - offers a thorough introduction to Reiki practice, with a strong focus on self-care, personal growth, and building confidence through shared learning.

Across the weekend you will:

* Receive your attunement to Reiki

* Explore daily self-practice and Reiki sharing with others

* Learn simple energy management techniques that can be applied in everyday settings

* Learn Hatsurei Ho Reiki meditation and gentle breathing practices

* Gain an understanding of Reiki history, lineage and tradition

* Learn the Reiki Precepts, ethics and principles

* Explore Reiki practice with Sound Therapy (an introduction to tuning forks and singing bowls)

* Cover basic anatomy, physiology, and the role of the chakras (energy centres)

* Discover how Reiki can support animals, plants and the wider environment

* Practice plenty of hands-on techniques to support yourself, and your family and friends

We will also draw inspiration from nature, the seasons, and the cycle of life. Weather permitting, part of the course will take place in the Tumbly Hill garden, bringing a natural and grounding connection into your practice.

The weekend begins with a group meditation and your first attunement. The remainder of the course balances learning with practice, enabling you to leave with the confidence to begin Reiki self-treatments and offer supportive treatments for family and friends.

Following your attunement, you will begin a 21-day practice and integration process. Guidance and support will be available throughout this time, including the option of a personal tutorial if needed.

You will also have opportunities for ongoing development, including CPD workshops and regular Reiki Share sessions at Tumbly Hill.
