Da oltre vent’anni la flautista dolce Maria Dorner-Hofmann e l’arpista Caroline Schmidt-Polex suonano insieme, dopo la formazione all’Universität Mozarteum. Presentano un nuovo programma che unisce musica colta e tradizioni popolari europee, tra tarantelle, melodie alpine e sonorità da Irlanda, Balcani e Danimarca, con brani di Maurice Ravel, Jacques Ibert e il celebre Carnaval de Venise di Pierre-Agricole Genin.
For over twenty years, recorder player Maria Dorner-Hofmann and harpist Caroline Schmidt-Polex have performed together, following their studies at the Universität Mozarteum. Their new program blends European folk traditions with classical refinement, featuring tarantellas, Alpine themes, and music from Ireland, the Balkans, and Denmark, alongside works by Maurice Ravel, Jacques Ibert, and the brilliant Carnaval de Venise by Pierre-Agricole Genin.
