BEGINNER FRIENDLY - ALL SKILL LEVELS WELCOME!

Spend your summer mornings creating a collection of handmade pottery designed for everyday use and meaningful gatherings around the table.
Over five weeks, you'll build a cohesive set of ceramic tableware using handbuilding techniques. Whether you're completely new to pottery or have experience working with clay, this course offers plenty of room to explore, create and make each piece uniquely your own.

You'll have the option to work from studio templates and forms designed to help you create a coordinated collection, or follow your own intuition and develop pieces that reflect your personal style. Mix and match approaches as you go—the goal is to create a collection that feels authentic to you.

Throughout the month, you'll create a collection that may include:

Tumblers/cups/mugs
Side plates
Small bowls
Serving pieces
Candle holders
Napkin rings

We'll focus on creating pieces that feel good in your hands and fit naturally into your daily routines. You'll learn slab-building, shaping, joining and surface design techniques while building a collection that works beautifully together.

Throughout this course, we'll create the foundation of a handmade tableware collection—pieces that are meant to be used, shared and enjoyed. The sessions offers a slower, more intentional approach to building a collection that reflects your own style and the way you gather around the table.

All clay, tools, clear glazing, instruction and kiln firings are included. Class sizes are intentionally kept small to allow for plenty of individual guidance and a relaxed, welcoming studio atmosphere.
