Here’s the low down for the step by step guided recital makeup and hair class at 9:30 March 28th...for newer dancers and their parent needing help with knowing how to do dance recital hair and makeup, we have this class where you will come with your dancer (clean face and hair down and brushed out, with your own makeup and hair items) and we will take it step by step and show you😊
Please bring a chair and let us know if you for sure will attend by responding and selecting the "going" option...its going to be a packed house so please be patient as we will be making our rounds to help if you get stuck during the process.
Have your dancer fed and excited...wearing just comfy clothes or a robe is always nice to wear over clothes so makeup does not get on your dancer.

YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN HAIR AND MAKEUP ITEMS TO PRACTICE ON YOUR DANCER!
If you can not attend, that's ok! We will have videos posted, and hopefully another opportunity for you to attend another one TBA.
WHAT TO BRING for your dancer to practice hair and makeup:
Hair items include:
1. Ponytail holders and Bobby pins
2. Bun maker (doughnuts found at dollar tree) for MOST CLASSES they will be doing buns...we will show you the way we like it done....clean crisp. (Some classes have high buns, some have mid, or low or side buns...we will make sure you know what style your dancer has)
Again, WE like a tight ballet bun and no wrap around braids. WE will be teaching the correct way.
3. Spray bottle with water
4. Hairspray
4.5 Gel
5. Comb and brush
Makeup items needed:
Please have your dancer start with a clean face.
Younger dancers do not require A LOT but this is stage makeup so they will need some color on stage;) plus it's fun...younger dancers do NOT do false eyelashes
1. Foundation: for the stage...a a shade darker than their face is great so they dont get washed out by the lights. A makeup sponge to apply is great to have.
1.5. Face primer, and eyeshadow primer is good to have too especially for long show days as it helps the makeup stay on
2. Blush and brush
3. Eyeshadow (a brown pallet works best) with a cream and white color, you'll need yeshadow brushes to apply
3.5🤣 eyeliner if you are brave enough and mascara
4. Again..Brushes for Blush and eyeshadow please
5. Lipstick we willsend out what color for each class soon..try and get a 24 hour wear for show...for class anything works for practice ;)
5.5 Lip liner (this helps the lipstick stay on the lips and prevents the red color from bleeding onto the foundation)
6. Qtips, tape and makeup wipes
7. PATIENCE lol...this part of recital stuff stresses some of you I know!! Just breathe and have fun with it ❤ we have plenty of time till showtime to practice our dancers' stage look;)
