For the sixth year running come and enjoy a perfect winter’s run with a difference on Sark.
The principle is simple, all you have to do is start and finish at Le Grand Dixcart (this is important as there are warm showers, food and a bar!) and in between pick up 4 pages from 4 books placed at 4 iconic stones on Sark.
We will give you your number at the start and off you go. You choose your route and can collect them in any order and using any route you like. The first person back wins.
Enter on your own or as a team of 2 or 4. If teams enter it is the first team back with all their pages (so best to split up!).
We have no idea how far it will be for you but we expect it will be around 9.5/10 miles if you run it all yourself.
The event will take place regardless of the weather so be prepared. ☀️🌧 ❄️ 💨 ⛈ ☀️ (unless we have a named storm!!)
There will be one official water stop, at the start/finish, so you are welcome to swing past during the race but it will add to your distance.
If you have never visited Sark before it is lovely and this will be a great way of experiencing the island in the winter. If you have been before then once again this will be a great way of experiencing the island in the winter!
Entry to the race is free but please give us an idea if you are coming so we can try to find books with enough pages. You are also welcome to bring presents/bribes for us as by then we will be entering our winter madness stage here on Sark.
A cheap and simple hot buffet lunch will be available after the race, as will showers and changing facilities. This is another reason why numbers in advance would be handy (including non running, but eating, drinking, crying and crawling family and friends). There will be a veggie option but it would be good to know numbers for this.
Sark Shipping boats are not showing on their website but hopefully they will be soon and if you call them direct they will hopefully have some more info. (We will also post more info on this when we have it)
