Join Abby Fenton for a short presentation on the value and ease of growing native plants from seed, as well as a hands-on winter seed sowing workshop. Participants will build their own ‘milk-jug greenhouse’ and have the opportunity to choose from a variety of native plant seeds. All ages welcome!
Abby is a Naturalist and Seed Librarian at Lake Country Montessori School in Minneapolis and has worked in the field of outdoor education for over 25 years. She is a volunteer with the Como Seed Library, as well as the Hosmer Community Seed Library through Hennepin County, a co-manager of the Story Garden and Seed Library at Shir Tikvah Synagogue in Minneapolis, and a founding Board Member of the MN Seed Project.
The club business meeting begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by refreshments and social time from 7-7:30, and the presentation at 7:30-8:30. We meet in the Saint Anthony Park Lutheran Church Fireside Room; enter off of Como Avenue. Parking available on Luther Place.
