Sunday 12/28 4 PM at the Midway Saloon, join resonator slide-guitarist Jeff Ray for "Slide-Guitar Around the World" — an intimate, story-driven set of resonator blues, originals, and the tales behind the tunes at the Midway Saloon. Based in Minneapolis and rooted in acoustic blues and American primitive fingerstyle, Jeff blends blues and folk with global influences using alternate tunings. He studied with Debashish Bhattacharya and has shared stages with Chris Smither, Justin Townes Earle, Pat Donohue, Phil Heywood, and many others.

Roots & Resophonics 4th Sundays at the Midway Saloon spotlights amazing roots music players and resonator-driven sounds. Upcoming in the residency: Sun Jan 25, 2026 — The Daily Norm (Kae Layne) joins Jeff Ray for a night of delicate, atmospheric fingerstyle and thoughtful acoustic interplay; Kae’s debut EP “Sometime, Elsewhere” (Jan 2025) earned praise from Charlie Parr and highlights the evocative, immediately recognizable sound he brings to the Twin Cities scene.
