We’re excited to gather this month at Mosaic on a Stick — a Black-, Indigenous-, and woman-owned community art space that has been part of the Midway neighborhood since 2004.

Mosaic on a Stick was created with the intention of building “an inclusive space for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to come and create art, connect with people, and find joy and connection.” 

Over the years, they’ve become much more than an art supply shop or studio. They’ve built a space rooted in creativity, healing, community, and welcoming people exactly as they are.

Come meet neighbors, spend time in one of the Midway’s most vibrant creative spaces, and learn more about the people and places that make this neighborhood what it is.

Mosaic on a Stick has helped create murals, sculptures, public art, and community projects across the Twin Cities — all centered around the idea that art can bring people together and help communities grow stronger. 

Whether you’ve been there a dozen times or have always wondered what’s inside the colorful building on Lafond, this is a good chance to stop by and connect.
