While in school, he began working in the culinary industry, including high-end restaurants such as Meritage and Upton 43 (currently Martina). Soon after, he became the Sous Chef at Blackdog Cafe in Lowertown.Peter knew he wanted to do more than just be an ordinary chef, so he began teaching kids in the city through a nonprofit called YouthFarm. He taught youth how to plant, grow, and cook their produce through food education and relationship building.Chef Blong is passionate about teaching youth in the cities about food education.
