Meet Your Instructor
Sandwich Ceramic is a Saint Paul, Minnesota based studio designing and creating handmade functional ware with minimalist forms meant for everyday use. Sandwich was started in 2018 by Francis Pineda-Fischer out of a strong passion for the field of ceramics and the desire to promote meaningful interaction between people and the objects we use each day. Pieces are made with locally produced stoneware clay and unique in-house glazes. A healthy amount of love & care has been put into all aspects of the process with hopes that love can be passed along to others.

Francis is excited to be teaching workshops for the first time at Larissa Loden!


Class Details

This class instructs in the fundamentals of using slabs of clay to create small custom trinket dishes. Class will begin with basic instruction, with plenty of open work-time for crafting your dish. Cookie cutters can be used for form creation, and underglazes will be provided for decoration. Dishes will be kept after class to be glazed and fired.

All levels welcome | Ages 16+

General Class Format

First 30-45 min - basic instruction

Last 1.5-2 hrs - free time

Class runs 2-2.5 hrs total

Glazing & firing by Francis included
