Guests may tour classrooms, meet instructors and school leaders, and see how Talbot County Public Schools prepare students with the skills, experiences, and confidence required for success after graduation.From 6-7 p.m., Perna will deliver a keynote focused on helping families understand how students identify their strengths, explore career pathways, and connect education to real opportunity. Parents will gain practical insight into supporting decisions about college, careers, and life after high school.Attendees will gain insights into emerging workforce trends, strategies for identifying student strengths and interests, and the wide range of pathways available after graduation including skilled trades, certifications, and traditional college routes. The event is designed to bring clarity to what can often feel like an overwhelming process and to help students move forward with purpose.“Every student has unique strengths and untapped potential,” says Perna. “When students and families understand how those strengths connect to real opportunities, everything changes. My goal is to help families see a clear path forward and feel confident taking the next step.”Perna has partnered with school systems nationwide to better connect classroom learning with career pathways. His work helps schools strengthen career readiness and expand student awareness of future opportunities. This will be his second keynote presentation in Talbot County, following his first at the 2023 Talbot County Business Appreciation Summit, hosted by Talbot County Economic Development and Tourism.
