The signature event of Parktacular is the Grand Day Parade. The parade became a staple of summer in St. Louis Park even before the celebration was named Parktacular. 

 LWV of St. Louis Park has been in the parade for over a decade. We, also have tabled at the Parktacular Expo in Wolfe Park after the parade. 

We invite all of our members to join us in our community celebration. We need many of you to volunteer on June 20. Do you want to march in the parade? We will have a convertible and a horizontal banner held by volunteers and many members walking. At our tent and table at the Expo we play a spin the wheel civics game and educate people about voting and democracy. We need volunteers to be at the table.

The parade starts at 12:00 and lasts for about an hour. The staging for the parade starts at about 11:30. That means that the last float/group leaves the start area at 1:00. We are usually somewhere in the middle. Therefore we need people for 2 and half hours, 11:30-2:00. Can you help with the parade?

The Expo opens around noon and lasts until 5:00. We need 2-3 people for 2 hour shifts.12:00-2:00, 2:00-4:00 and 4:00- pack-up.  Can you help with the Expo?
