He also knaps the quartzites of his into traditional Virginia blade forms. He will present on The Maryland Fluted Point Survey, which documents stone projectile points made during the Ice Age between 13,000 and 10,000 years ago. Tool stone sourcing and experimental archaeology will be highlighted as avenues of inquiry for studying fluted  point makers in Maryland.
