Join us for Dog First Aid Workshop on Sunday November 30th
Emergencies involving your dog can happen anytime and it can happen very quickly. This workshop will provide you with valuable knowledge on managing common pet emergencies. Recognizing problems early and knowing how to act upon them is key to your pet’s health and safety all the while offering you the peace of mind in knowing how to offer your pet the care they need during these situations.
Topics include :
Recognizing Normal Vital Signs: Learn how to check your pet's heart rate, breathing, and temperature.
Knowing what's normal helps you understanding when something's wrong.
Handling Breathing and Cardiac Emergencies: This life saving skill will help you effectively respond if your pet ever chokes or has trouble breathing.
Managing Wounds and Bleeding : Learn how to clean wounds, stop bleeding, and bandage your pet safely.
Helping During Seizures: What is a seizure, what does it look like and learning how to keep your pet safe during one.
First Aid Kit : Learn how to prepare your own first aid kit for your pet and what should be included in it.

Please note that this workshop is mostly geared towards theoretical notions with some hands-on practice. Dogs are more than welcome but will have to be crated or able to remain calm on their mat/bed.
