Straight Talk: Women’s Health, Without the Filters (or the Judgment)

NextUp! is back—and this time, we’re going there.

Join us for an honest, refreshing, and empowering evening of straight talk about women’s health, led by Dr. Julie Johnson of Simplicity Health, an expert in women’s health at every stage of life. Known for her approachable, authentic, and down-to-earth style, Dr. Johnson creates a space where learning feels easy, conversation flows, and laughter is welcome.

For women balancing careers, caregiving, relationships, and their own wellbeing, women’s health often gets pushed to the bottom of the list—or wrapped in confusion, silence, or dismissal. This evening is designed to change that.

This casual gathering invites open dialogue about topics we’ve all wondered about—but haven’t always felt comfortable asking out loud. This is not a lecture, and it’s not medical jargon. It’s practical, real-world insight you can actually use. Expect an engaging and enlightening conversation where it’s truly okay to put everything on the table.

Created for women of every age and stage, this NextUp! event connects generations—friends, mothers, daughters, and grandmothers—around the shared experience of being women and learning from one another along the way.

💫 Meet Dr. Julie Johnson

Dr Julie Johnson is a family physician with over 30 years of experience—and very little surprises her anymore. There's likely no question you can ask that she hasn't heard before. She's passionate about partnering with patients through every stage of life, believing her greatest tool is simple but powerful: listening.

An early empty nester, Julie is embracing new freedom—traveling to North Carolina for her daughter's dressage competitions and exploring new places with her husband. Thoughtful, grounded, and endlessly curious, she dreams of one day retiring to a tropical island where life slows down and flip-flops replace winter boots.
